Die Vereinbarungen zwischen der israelischen und der palästinensischen Seite zur Beendigung des Kriegs in Gaza
Die Vereinbarung zwischen der israelischen und der palästinensischen Seite, die am 19.1.2025 zu einem Waffenstillstand in Gaza führte, ist überschrieben mit "Appendix I Practical procedures and mechanisms to implement the Agreement for the exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian Prisoners and the return to a sustainable calm which would achieve a permanent ceasefire between the two sides". Ziff. 1 lautet:
"Stage two preparations:
The parties and the mediators' objective is to achieve a final consensus to implement the May 27 2024 Agreement on the echange of hostages and prisoners and return to a sustainable calm which would achieve a permanent ceasefire between the Parties. All procedures in the first stage will continue in stage 2 so long as the negotiations of the conditions of implementing stage 2 are ongoing and the guarantors of this Agreement shall work to ensure that negotiations continue until an agreement is reached."
Das Arab Center Washington DC veröffentlichte am 6.5.2024 ein Rahmenabkommen mit dem Titel "Basic principles for an agreement between the Israeli side and the Palestinian side in Gaza on the exchange of detainees and prisoners and the return of sustainable calm" und meldete, Hamas habe Qatar und Ägypten am Abend dieses Tages darüber informiert, dass sie diesem Abkommen zustimmt. MEE berichtete allerdings am 14.6.2024 von einer Antwort der Hamas auf einen Vorschlag Israels für einen Waffenstillstand, die den ägyptischen Vermittlern "earlier this week" übermittelt worden sei, und druckte den Text diese Antwort ab. Ein wichtiger Unterschied zwischen den beiden Texten ist, dass als Garantiemächte des Abkommens in dem ersten nur Qatar, Ägypten, die USA und die UNO genannt sind, während der zweite zusätzlich die Türkei, Russland und China anführt.
